Built in a busy implant clinic, refined for the world.

VP Innovato Holdings began with a surgeon's refusal to accept the limits of the tools in front of him. Today it is a company built to invent, protect, and share that work.

The Cervico System was developed after years of frustration in a large, referral-based implant clinic in Greece. Patients arrived with food impaction and malodor around implant crowns, peri-implantitis linked to cement, open contacts, loosening prostheses, and aesthetic results that fell short.

The conclusion was clear: you cannot recreate the size and shape of a natural tooth in a prosthesis predictably if the gingival cervical profile around the implant does not match the natural tooth. At the time, the only way to get there was meticulous soft-tissue sculpting and multiple temporary prostheses, an investment most patients would not make.

In 2014, Dr. Vergoullis partnered with certified dental technician George Papadopoulos. Together they designed, tested, patented, and brought to life the Cervico System: a fast, simple, and elegant way to master the emergence profile in every implant case.

“I knew I could not provide my patients or referring dentists with the highest level of care if I did not find the answer to this industry-wide problem.”

From a single mold to a portfolio of patents

2014

Two specialists, one problem

Periodontist Dr. Ioannis Vergoullis joined forces with certified dental technician George Papadopoulos to recreate the natural emergence profile predictably. The company's first two patent applications were filed in Greece that same year.

2015

The Cervico System is born

The first product was a mold template that let an assistant fabricate a healing abutment replicating the cervical shape of natural teeth, in any size. The system was designed, tested, and patented.

2016–17

From product to platform

The Cervico Guide made abutment selection fast and accurate, while new filings — a dental-tools system and a tissue punch — extended protection beyond the mold, published internationally under PCT in 2017.

2019–20

Granted in the US and Europe

US patent 10,420,632 was granted in 2019 and European patent EP 3 474 772 followed in 2020, as Cervico became part of the daily armamentarium for clinicians across more than 24 countries.

2021–23

The digital turn

iCervico introduced the first digital intermediate abutment for one-abutment-one-time protocols. Its core patent was granted in Greece in 2023; the second-generation scan-post patents have since been granted in Europe, the United States, Australia, Israel and South Africa.

Today

A holding company for invention

VP Innovato Holdings stewards eight patent families and twenty granted patents, commercializes two platforms, and licenses selectively, with more in development.

Founder-led, clinician-built

The people who experienced the problem are the people who built the solution, and they still run the company.

What we hold to

01

Start at the chairside

Every product answers a real clinical frustration. If it does not make a surgeon's day better, we do not build it.

02

Protect the invention

We design, test, and patent our technologies, then steward them as long-term intellectual property.

03

Engineer for the long term

Top-quality materials and meticulous detail. Our systems are built to deliver stable results for years, not weeks.

04

Serve the clinician

We support the people who use our products with documentation, education, and a direct line to the team that built them.
